Upper St. Anthony Lock Re-opens for Tour Boats in time for Fall Color Cruises.
The Minneapolis Queen and Paradise Lady re-gain access to the Upper St. Anthony Lock 24/7

The USCG (United States Coast Guard) will now allow the tour boats Minneapolis Queen and Paradise Lady, operated by Paradise Charter Cruises to lock from USAF (Upper St. Anthony Falls) lock down-bound into the intermediate pool at any time. Dive operations are basically completed except for the final sweep proposed for 10/2. This was the USCG concern before the reopening was re-granted.

If the contractor is completed with all river based removal work by 10/5, the USCG will recommend opening the river up to unrestricted navigation again on 10/6. They will require the contractor to boom off an area around the causeway and the North bridge pier leaning towards the river to keep recreation boats out of this area.

Since the August 1st Bridge Collapse, The Minneapolis Queen and Paradise Lady have had limited access the Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock, which is a vital link to the success of our Public Cruises and Private Charters.
